Warum heisst es:

More importantly, why did they become so valuable?

und nicht:
more important, why did they become so valuable?

danke!

Weil sich ein Adjektiv immer auf ein Substantiv beziehen muss. Das tut es in diesem fall nicht also muss es ein Adverb sein!
